Hi Team,
Ms. Lai wants to re-open the concern Manually Assigned Location in Putaway
As per your advise before, there is no auto save location function in ASN module but there's a process to achieve similar result.
As per Ms. Lai understanding, seems this putaway rule will trigger/enable the auto save function. So when she manually assigned the putaway location on ASN's Putaway Tab, it will be saved then on next ASN where this SKU is included she won't have to assign again the putaway location.
But in our understanding, these are the process to achieve manually assigned putaway location of certain SKU:
We created new putaway id, and the rule is as your advise-- "Putaway into The "To Location" and provide the location in "Location ID To"
Assign the created putaway rule to SKU.
Then we achieved this
But seems this process incorrect, because users will need to create putaway id per location they want.
Just want to clarify if our process above is correct.
If not, could we have the guide to advise to Ms. Lai?
Regards,
Aubrey

Hi Ms Aubrey and Team,
Would like to re-open the issue regarding the put-away process.
Initially, our WHSE team suggested if they can use the Put-away Tab in the ASN details module in manually Assigning a location instead of maintaining a put-away rule and utilizing the System suggested locations.
Here is the process flow. The issue is found in saving the location, since after updating the filed for “Plan to Location”, and I proceed to the next ASN for update, the Plan to details was not saved.
As per CSO’s feed-back, I still need to maintain this rule.
To clarify, is there a need to maintain the specific location ID? And the receipt type?
Thank You,
Lai
If the requirement is to have a fix location per SKU, then that can be achieved by setting the SKU’s putaway location in the Multi-Warehouse maintenance, and using the putaway rule 07 – Use location specified in SKU table. With this there can be 1 putaway rule setup for all the items requiring this.
However, if the requirement is non-fixed location and user expects the system to be able to ‘re-use’ the location specified in 1 ASN’s putaway to another ASN’s putaway, then this is not possible at all.
